The Trilogy's rousing conclusion focuses in on the more intimate impact of Emmett's abduction and murder on two couples in Mississippi Delta: Caroline Bryant, her husband Roy, in Money, along with Clinton and Beulah Melton, in Glendora, witnessing the murder, whose lives are put in danger because of the information they possess. With scenes of Medgar Evers filing field reports to the NAACP.
